Harrogate: A Hot Spot For Live Music

This season Harrogate Theatre boasts a great amount of music playing in all three spaces; Harrogate Theatre, the Royal Hall and newly named Harrogate Convention Centre.

With original artists and tributes there is certainly something to fit the tastes of all music lovers.

Caro Emerald (21 April) will be gracing the stages of the Harrogate Convention Centre. With more than 2.5 million record sales and a host of awards (including an Echo, Goldene Kamera, Edison Award, EBBA & MTV Music Award), and a string of sold out tours and performances at festivals throughout Europe including Glastonbury and Isle of Wight, Caro has made her mark.

Following that Clare Teal and her Mini Big Band will be performing at Harrogate Theatre on 4 May. From swing to sublime ballads, their concerts are renowned across the country for their energetic exuberance. Their eclectic song list ranges from Cole Porter to Rogers and Hammerstein to Nina Simone to form a rich, jazz infused repertoire exploring timeless classics.

Next up we have Grammy award winning, international chart-topping, British music legend Leo Sayer (12 May). Known all over the world for his army of hits which include Thunder In My Heart, Moonlighting, One Man Band, I Can’t Stop Loving You and the transatlantic number ones, When I Need You and You Make Me Feel Like Dancing.

Brit Award and Ivor Novello Award winning KT Tunstall was recently honoured further with the Inspirational Artist gong at the Women In Music Awards. It Took Me So Long To Get Here, But Here I Am is the third single taken from the full bodied and blooded KIN which was released earlier this year to rave reviews and debuted at No.7 on the official UK Album Chart. She will be in Harrogate on 18 May.
