Buy Tickets Hyena Comedy Club April 2014

Harrogate Theatre’s very own monthly comedy club.

Line up:

Mick Ferry

Mick Ferry is renowned as a fine purveyor of lugubrious surrealism and has quickly established himself as one of the most sought after comics on the British and International comedy circuit. On our TV screens, Mick has recently starred in BBC One`s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow as well as Comedy Blue and The Comedy Store for Comedy Central.

“As good as it gets…highly original and hilarious"

Big Issue

“Performs with style and conviction...highly enjoyable"

Chortle

George Egg

An obsessive and passionate self-taught cook, baker, forager and preserver, brewer, wine-maker, flavour-crusader, builder and internationally acclaimed stand-up comedian, George Egg is determined to change to way we cook and eat.

Dissatisfied with the quality and the price of room-service food while touring the stand-up comedy clubs of the UK, George embarked on a project to convert the provided equipment in a hotel room (the kettle, iron, trouser-press, hairdryer, mini-bar, and so on) into a working kitchen with mind-blowing results.

"A hugely entertaining variety turn"
The Guardian

Phil Wang

Wang, winner of the Chortle Student Comedy Award in 2010, is a quietly spoken young man who starts his hour modestly, putting himself down as the shy nerd, with a degree in computer systems engineering that wasn’t the gateway to glamour he might have hoped.

Not for him the tumultuous childhood, leading him to rebel though comedy; instead he’s a clever middle-class chap, well supported by his parents, with an aptitude for smart everyday observation.

“A skilful and hilarious individual”
Varsity

“Effortlessness personified”
The Tab

“Genius”
The Cambridge Student

Tony Jameson

Tony Jameson feels he’s now at the mid-point of his life. He believes he’s achieved some good things in his life, but there’s still the nagging voice in the back of his head that wonders, 'Could he have achieved more had he not spent the last 20 years playing video games?'

Jameson made his debut hour at Edinburgh Fringe 2013 with silly stories and references to players you may / may not remember. NB It’s not all about Football Manager don’t worry.

"Wonderful terrific ... life affirming stuff"
The Skinny

"Cannot help but watch in awe"
Comedy Central

"Painfully funny"
The List
