COMPERE: Danny Deegan
With the confidence and swagger that you might expect of a North-West comedian
at the very top of his game, Danny Deegan is a comedian, writer and actor who
has become a regular at most of the major comedy clubs in the UK since he began
performing in 2003.
"Charming, witty and most importantly funny"Metro
Unemployed. Single. Wildcard.
"Eddie French has been doing stand up for
just shy of 4 years. These days he sometimes does it with a guitar. He has
gigged all over the country and has spent the last three Augusts at the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival doing stand up and performing with The Discount
Comedy Checkout Improv group. He is still uncomfortable writing about himself
in the third person."
"Cormac is a bit crude for my liking. I
cringed from start to finish and didn't know what to say at the end of it."
Sean Morley is a very polite and thoughtful
young man. Allegedly "brilliantly absurd" (Arts in Leicester),
offering " bizarre
parallels of surrealism and sharp wit" (Forge Press); he denies all of
these things in favour of wanting to have a nice chat with everyone about some
things that have been preying on his mind.
Nigel is an idiosyncratic act who mixes dark and
surreal deadpan humour. In 2013 Nigel has won Rawhide Raw Liverpool, Beat
the Frog in Manchester and Preston, and Chunky's Comedy Clap Off in Bolton.
Newcomer Katy Truelove burst onto the
scene in May 2012 and already has a string of appearances under her belt
including Theatre Clywd (Silky), The Frog & Bucket Manchester (Laughing
Cows), The Stand (Newcastle) and more recently the Haha Hadrians Wall Comedy
Charity Walk with Pat Monahan, Michael Redmond & Ian Cognito.
Katy's personable and sometimes brutally
honest style can both shock & endear the most hardened of audiences.
"Katy puts the true meaning of love into
comedy. She bounces around the stage with so much joyness, she should be called
Katy Truejoy" Pat Monahan
Tom Wilson hails from Salford
Has been on the circuit for just over a year
he writes and directs theatre work
runs a small comedy beginners night in York
called The 'Komedy Incubator'
Tom likes the tantalising smell
of charity shops and he aspires to make minestrone soup one day.
He teaches drama and really should know better.
