Buy Tickets Comedy Club 4 Kids

Part of Harrogate Comedy Festival 2013

Running time: approx 1 hour (no interval)

Like the name says it’s a Comedy Club 4 Kids!

Cracking entertainment for everyone over six years old and under 400 years old (no vampires or Highlanders). We have the best comedians from the UK and world circuit doing what they do best… but without the rude bits!

A highlight for children... giving them a taste of some of the biggest names in comedy with the fun, rowdy feel of a real comedy club."
The Guardian

2013 Line-Up:

Martin ‘Bigpig’ Mor
Originally known as ‘Martin Big Pig‘, MARTIN MOR has been a mainstay of the circuit for decades. A former circus acrobat, Martin turned to stand up after sustaining a serious injury in the ring. He is also one of the few acts who can claim to have performed on Radio 4′s ‘Woman’s Hour’ as well as in an Italian prison. Although his club work is certainly geared towards adults he is an immensely flexible performer and regularly performs ‘clean’ shows for families and kids.
“A very funny lad, with the best beard in the business”  Johnny Vegas
“The UK comedy circuit would not be the same without him” Frankie Boyle

 “Extremely funny.”  Peter Kay

Jim Smallman (MC)
Jim Smallman is a tattooed teller of tall tales from Leicester. He tells stories about his body art, his family, and the things he's done in his colourful life to date. Jim has performed in Singapore, Denmark and Los Angeles as well as all over the UK. His stories are brutally honest, always true, and often unbelievable - and have won him an army of fans all over the world.
Award-winning stand-up Jim Smallman is, by his own definition, a heavily-tattooed idiot. People judge him on his ink, but is he really the thug they presume he is, or simply misunderstood? Best Comedy Show 2010, Hollywood Fringe winner, Best International Show 2010, LA Theatre Review winner.
“Wonderfully gritty, impressive comic pickings” The Guardian
“A talented comic” Time Out
“The second he focuses, he's unbeatable” 4Laughs.com
“Engaging, entertaining, truly enjoyable” ThreeWeeks
Nick Doody
Nick’s Doody’s career as a stand-up comedian got off to a pretty good start: while still a student, Nick supported Bill Hicks on his final tour of the UK, at Bill’s request. A finalist in the 1999 So You Think You're Funny new act competition, Nick has gone to be a familiar face on the comedy circuit and as a writer for such shows as BBC4’s Late Edition and Channel 4’s FAQ U, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Friday Night Live.
“A refreshing change…Sharp witted, but never sharp tongued” THREE WEEKS
“You will see many shows before you see another comic hit so hard with such grace …quite brilliant.“ THE SCOTSMAN
