This season we are delighted to welcome English Touring Opera as they present a sparkling new revival of the eighteenth-century classic English opera The Duenna.
 
Don Jerome, a petulant father, is determined that his daughter will marry Isaac - but she wants Antonio as her husband. With the assistance of her elderly duenna, coincidences and catastrophes collide causing Don Jerome to finally give in to the humour of his own defeat.
 
Full of sparkling wit and musical charm this classic comedy of confused identities from the UK’s leading touring opera company brings together a fine cast of singers including Richard Suart, Adrian Thompson and Nuala Willis, complete with a period orchestra to deliver a scintillating evening of entertainment.
