Buy Tickets An Evening With David Nobbs

Part of Harrogate Comedy Festival 2013

Duration: 1 hour 50 mins (includes 20 min interval)

The man behind TV series “The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin” looks back on 50 years as a comedy writer.
His first job was as a contributor to the iconic live Saturday evening satire show, “That Was The Week, That Was”.
He went on to write for many leading comedians, including Frankie Howerd, Ken Dodd, Dick Emery and The Two Ronnies (and no, he didn’t write the Four Candles sketch).
He was script editor for 68 episodes of “Sez Les” with Les Dawson and wrote two series of the hit TV show “A Bit of a Do” starring David Jason.
But it was with the Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin series, starring Leonard Rossiter, that he achieved his greatest success with three novels and three television series notching up regular audiences of 15 million.
With another half dozen successful TV series behind him, plus many more books and plays, David Nobbs takes to the stage for the first time himself to tell the stories behind a lifetime of comedy writing.

During the second half of the show, David will take questions from the audience.
