COMPERE: Danny Deegan

With the confidence and swagger that you might expect of a North-West comedian at the very top of his game, Danny Deegan is a comedian, writer and actor who has become a regular at most of the major comedy clubs in the UK since he began performing in 2003.
"Charming, witty and most importantly funny" Metro

ACTS

Liz Alcock

Harrogate based fledgling Comedienne, who has appeared at the ‘Rubber Chicken Comedy Club’ in Leeds, drawing on the humour of everyday life and the absurdly funny gaps between the world of the real and the ideal!

Tommy Barnes
Tommy is a rising star of the UK comedy circuit with a love of the absurd and a Hawaiian shirt that he likes to think is a subtle nod to Milton Jones but most people think is a shameless rip off.

“Tommy is a fantastic gag writer and is no doubt going to be huge. A star in the ascendancy.” John Moloney

Staple/Face

Staple/face are a sketch comedy trio from Sheffield, composed of Mike Bentley, Tom Burgess and Sam Nicoresti. They recently returned from a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe, during which they also won the Gilded Balloon's 'So You Think That's Funny?' Best New Sketch Act 2013 competition. They hear Harrogate is very nice.

Jonathan Hipkiss

Jonathan blends his observations with wackiness, impressions and voices. He is a performer who is clearly having fun doing what he loves.

Daniel Kennedy

By day Daniel J Kennedy is a PR director, father of two and proud dog owner. By night he is a stand-up comic with a commanding stage presence who often gets hung-up on the absurdities of life. He reached the semi-final of the Laughing Horse new act competition 2013 and has this year gigged in an incredible number of places beginning with B...

Dalia Malek

Dalia Malek's dark and irreverent humour has helped her progress in comedy quickly. She had never performed before entering the Chortle Student Comedy Award 2012, but after only three months of doing comedy, she became a finalist. She has since appeared at Latitude Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as Chortle's Fast Fringe at the Pleasance. She won the open mic competition at the Comedy Store in La Jolla, and as a result opened at the Best of San Diego. She also won the Beat the Frog gong show in Manchester, and has provided tour support for Ava Vidal's solo show, and supported acts like Tony Law and Hannibal Buress.

"Made an instant impact...distinctive, knowing content" – Steve Bennett (Chortle)
"Funny, funny fucker" – Toby Morton (South Park)
"One to Watch" – Dangermouth Comedy
"Confident, with a unique voice...See her before she's on telly and we can't afford her" – Paul Kerensa (You Must Be Stoking Comedy)

Chris McIlroy

Originally from Northern Ireland, Chris has lived in England for over seven years, the past two of which have seen him perform across the country with his affable, gag heavy and at times downright silly stand up routines. He has been described as "almost impossible to dislike" (Ten Feet Tall Comedy) and "a very funny comedian with a very promising future ahead of him" (Smacked Arse Comedy).
