Buy Tickets An Evening With Boycott and Aggers

To celebrate last year’s Ashes clashes, Britain’s most popular cricket commentators met live on stage for the first time at major venues in each of the host cities of the England v Australia test matches.
Playing to packed houses in London, Nottingham, Manchester and Newcastle, the original odd couple amazed and enthralled both devotees of the game and non-cricket lovers alike with their stories, passion and quick-fire wit. Special celebrity guests added to the entertainment, but it was the Boycott and Agnew exchanges that audiences found spell-binding.
So, fresh from their commentaries duties down under and by popular demand, Geoffrey Boycott and Jonathan Agnew return for a short series of shows in selected venues around the country.
Geoffrey Boycott, England’s brilliant opening batsman and outspoken critic of the game is a controversial character who divides the cricket world.
BBC cricket correspondent Jonathan Agnew learnt his craft under the tutelage of Brian Johnston and has emerged from the notoriety of the gloriously funny “leg over” incident to become one of the country’s finest commentators and interviewers.
He and Geoffrey have a unique on-air relationship which led Wisden to christen them “the Lennon and McCartney of cricket broadcasting” when they were voted Britain’s most popular cricket commentators. “Sir” Geoffrey talks frankly with Jonathan about his career in the middle and at the centre of controversy. The pair debate hot topics from the Ashes series, Boycs’ views on modern cricketers and about cricket in general. There will be an opportunity for the audience to tweet their own questions and the show will be fun, fiery and full of surprises.
