Invisible Thread (formerly Faulty Optic) has a national and international reputation for its unique and haunting visual theatre using strange animated figures; automated sets; live feed video; film and projections; and dark, macabre humour to present surreal adult puppetry of the highest artistic quality. The work tends to be provocative and disturbing with a liberal amount of humour mixed into the equation. The characters and the storytelling exhibit
the frailties and complexities around the notion of being human - to touch audiences with a basic form of mutual understanding and engagement.
