Harrogate Convention Centre

A magical event of the world's most recognised songs

Magic of the Opera is a show for all the family and will feature all the best bits from all the popular Operas, including many that that everybody knows but probably don’t realise are Opera. Whether a lover of Grand Opera or a lover of grand songs, performed to the highest possible level, everyone will enjoy this musical evening.

This will be an experience to remember for those who’ve already been to one of the great Opera Houses of the World, for anyone whose experience of Opera is limited to what they’ve heard on a television advert and for everyone in between.

The show will contain favourites including the Toreador song from Carmen, Mozart’s Marriage Of Figaro, Time To Say Goodbye, Verdi’s Anvil Chorus, the Pearl Fishers duet, Ave Maria and, of course, Nessun Dorma.

Everyone knows and loves ‘Nessun Dorma’ but you will be surprised just how many of the vocal and orchestral pieces you will know and love from television adverts and films.

Featuring the full 45 piece English National Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Ben Crick

with their very Special Guest
Lesley Garrett – Britain’s Favourite Soprano

Plus Principal Singers from the Royal Opera House and English National Opera

Hannah Mason – Mezzo Soprano
John Cunningham – Baritone
Lee Bradley – Tenor

The most consistent review of the show we hear night after night from members of the audience is – 'I’m not a fan of Opera, but I loved watching this show'

This event is laced with good humour designed to send you home very happy.
