Y3-Y6 PLAY IN A DAY: LAND OF DREAMS

Come along to Play in a Day, a fun-packed day of creative activity for children in Year 3 to Year 6, culminating in a one-of-a-kind performance at the end of the day. 

Join us on a dreamland adventure filled with games, stories and imagination. Whether you’ve taken part in our Youth Theatre or after-school clubs before, or you’re brand new to Harrogate Theatre, this session is open to everyone who wants to explore their creativity and have fun. 

Working with Harrogate Youth Theatre’s team, you’ll create a brand-new story inspired by the magical dreamland of this year’s Harrogate Theatre pantomime, Sleeping Beauty. Throughout the day, you will make new friends, play games, develop performance skills and bring your imagination to life, before sharing your finished piece in a relaxed performance. 

Harrogate Youth Theatre is thrilled to be working on location at Harrogate Library, drawing inspiration from the dreamlands and boundless imagination found in our favourite books to create exciting new stories to share at the end of the day. 

This session is for anyone currently in Year 3 to Year 6 for the academic year 2025/26 and takes place from 9am to 3pm.

Programmed at Harrogate Library for the National Year of Reading. 

Sessions are led by Harrogate Youth Theatre staff – all highly trained theatre professionals who are fully DBS checked, ensuring a safe and inspiring experience for every participant.
