Gervase Phinn returns by popular demand to start the Friends of Harrogate Hospital Spring fundraising programme in the beautiful surroundings of Harrogate Theatre at 2.30pm on Thursday 18 April 2024.
Gervase Phinn is one of Yorkshire’s most popular raconteurs, a best-selling author of hilarious and heartwarming tales from The Yorkshire Dales. A radio and TV personality, a favourite of cruise entertainment and an ever popular after dinner speaker. This promises to be an afternoon to remember!
Gervase taught in a range of schools for fourteen years before becoming an educational advisor, later a North Yorkshire schools inspector in the Dales. He is an Honorary Fellow of The York University of St John, a Doctor of Letters of Leicester University, Visiting Professor of Education at the University of Teesside, Consultant to the Open University. He a freelance lecturer, broadcaster and writer.
