Terms and Conditions for Harrogate Theatre’s Membership Scheme

  1. Introduction
By purchasing or renewing a membership with Harrogate Theatre, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms govern your membership benefits, responsibilities, and our obligations to you.
  1. Membership Benefits
  • Members are entitled to the benefits listed on the membership page, subject to availability of the benefits and these Terms.
  • Benefits are subject to availability and may change without prior notice.
  • Priority booking gives an extended notice period before tickets go on general sale to the public. Restrictions may apply. Due to the nature of some events we cannot always guarantee priority booking periods.
  • Membership does not guarantee ticket availability for specific events and ticket limits may apply.
  • Discount on merchandise applies to Harrogate Theatre merchandise only and not from any visiting companies.
  • As a member, you will receive emails from Harrogate Theatre about upcoming productions, events and supporting the theatre. You may also receive brochures and selected communications by post. You can view details of our privacy policy and change your contact preferences any time by contacting Box Office or through our website. You must not have opted out of postal and email communications to receive notifications of onsale dates, season launch invitations and offers included in your benefits.
  • Membership benefits are for the personal use of the individual identified as the Membership holder only, as set out in the Membership confirmation email and are non-transferable.
  1. Membership Duration and Renewal
  • Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • All members must pay an annual Membership Fee. Harrogate Theatre reserves the right to change the Membership Fee each year.
  • Once you have signed up to a Membership you will receive a confirmation email providing the details of your Membership and Membership Period.
  • Subject to any statutory right to cancel, your Membership Fee is non-refundable once payment has been received by Harrogate Theatre and you are not entitled to cancel or terminate before the expiry of the Membership Period, unless otherwise permitted under these Terms. (the termination section says 14 days cooling off period so many need to be mentioned here)
  • DIRECT DEBIT: When each Membership Period approaches an end, Harrogate Theatre will send you a renewal reminder prior to the expiry of your Membership Period. If you do not wish to renew your Membership you must inform Harrogate Theatre at the earliest opportunity and in any event at least ten working days before payment is due under the renewal as set out in the renewal notice, otherwise your Membership will automatically be renewed and you will be liable to pay the Membership Fee for the renewal as set out in the notice.
  • Renewal by cash, credit/debit card and bank transfer for all Memberships: When each Membership Period approaches an end, Harrogate Theatre will send you a renewal reminder, and your Membership will lapse unless a further Membership Fee payment is received from you. Harrogate Theatre may contact recently lapsed Members regarding re-joining.
  • Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable unless required by law.
  • You can renew (where auto-renewal does not apply to the Membership) and update your details at any time by contacting Harrogate Theatre on [email protected] or 01423 502116.
  1. Membership Fees
  • The membership fee is £45 and is payable in full at the time of purchase.
  • Fees are subject to change. Existing memberships will carry on paying the original amount until the renewal date, when the new payment levels will be charged. Harrogate Theatre will notify you at least 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed if amounts to be paid or the payment date changes.
  1. Cancellation and Termination

    Terminating your Membership
