This group is called the Bumblebees, they meet every Saturday during term time, 9:30am-10:30am.
They take part in early years learning, done through stories and play. We do not hold a public performance with this group.
Our staff will monitor each child's progression over an academic year and encourage a supportive atmosphere. At the end of each term certificates are given to recognise special achievement.
Youth Theatre is run by Disclosure and Barring Service checked theatre professionals with outstanding theatre training and are supported by an assistant.
How to join?
To register your interest in joining Youth Theatre, please follow these easy steps:
- Complete a Registration Form, one per child.
- Read and agree to our Behaviour Policy
- Return your completed Registration Form to Harrogate Theatre, Oxford Street, Harrogate, HG1 1QF or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Your child will be allocated a space in the right group for their age and we will contact you with all the information you will need to pay for your child’s place. If there are no spaces available, we will add you to a waiting list and contact you as soon as a space becomes available.

Fees are £70 for a 10-week term. Payment is taken by our Box Office team. We also do a year-long discounted rate at £180 / £110 conc. for an academic year.
All fees are due a week before each term begins. Payments made after this date will be subject to a £10 late payment fee. If you are unable to pay by the payment deadline, you must contact us in writing, so we can make a note on our system and cancel the late payment fee.
If a member no longer wishes to take part in Youth Theatre, you must let us know in writing as soon as possible. If you tell us after the payment deadline date, we reserve the right to charge you for the full term, plus the late payment fee.
If you are entitled to free school meals, are on Universal Credit or any benefit scheme you can apply for the concessionary rate of £40. If you are eligible to receive this reduced fee, you must send us a photocopy/ scan of the relevant documentation. If we do not receive any evidence of your status, then we will invoice you for the balance of your fees for that term.
