SNOW WHITE Cast donate to Harrogate Homeless Project
Today Harrogate Theatre’s cast and crew were pleased to donate £125 to Harrogate Homeless Project for the work they do supporting homeless people in and around Harrogate.
Howard Chadwick, known to our audiences as Dame No Nonsense Nora the Nanny said “We decided instead of opening night and Christmas cards and gifts we would collect money for a local charity instead. Tim Stedman (Happy Harry) and I were lucky enough to see some of the work the theatre does with HHP clients using drama skills to develop confidence and so when it came to choosing a charity it was the obvious choice. “
Sheena Jackson, Support Worker at Harrogate Homeless Project (HHP) said “HHP were delighted to receive the very kind donation of £125 from the cast and crew of Harrogate Theatre. Staff at the Project thought it was a lovely gesture on behalf of the cast and crew to forego their usual presents and to donate the money instead. As a small, local charity, we rely on the generosity of the public in order to help fund our services, and the cast and crew can be assured that the money will be put to good use in helping HHP to continue providing vital services for homeless and vulnerably housed people in the Harrogate district. We at HHP are proud of our association with Harrogate Theatre and would like to thank the cast and crew sincerely for choosing us for their very generous charitable donation.”
