In June, Harrogate Theatre will welcome The Performance Ensemble to make a new show. This will be created by its core group of experienced older performers, and older performers drawn from the local community.
The Performance Ensemble is funded by Arts Council England and makes high quality, cutting-edge and engaging work in collaboration with people aged 60+. They describe their work as “art made with the experience of age”. Find out more here.
The show will be called Sinfonia: Stories from Harrogate and will be a tapestry of performance, choreographed movement and original music woven from stories of older people across the area. There will be a 4-week residency in Harrogate leading to performances at Harrogate Theatre on 25th to 27th June.
Come and find out more and how to get involved over a cuppa at a relaxed event in the Circle Bar on Saturday 7th March 11am – 12:30.
You can just drop in, but it will help us to plan if you sign up here in advance.
Please note, we regret that the Circle Bar is not accessible for wheelchair users or people with limited mobility. The Performance Ensemble will be holding other events and exploring ways for everyone to get involved. To find out more you can drop them a line at [email protected].
