The deadline for applications for our 2026 work experience programme has now passed. Applications for our 2027 placements are now open. The deadline for applications is Friday 19th February 2027.
We are offering a week-long work experience placement for 10 students from years 10–13, either during term time from Monday 19th-Friday 23th July 2027 or during the first week of the school holidays from Monday 26th – Friday 30th July 2027. In your application please specify whether you are available for one or either of the weeks.
Across the week you will be working as part of a group of work experience students on a week long project. During the placement you will experience live theatre and spend time working alongside a range of departments such as Creative Engagement, Box Office, Front of House, Programming, Production and Marketing to get a broad experience of how Harrogate Theatre runs day-to-day.

Candidates will then be shortlisted and invited to an informal workshop interview.
Please note: we are not able to offer any specialised work experience placements in stage management, wardrobe/makeup, directing or set design. Demand for placements is extremely high. Priority is given to Harrogate Youth Theatre members.
