Thunder Road Theatre and Harrogate Theatre present
THE INVISIBLE MAN
Based on the classic novel by HG Wells
Adaptation by Rob Johnston
Winter 1897. A stranger comes to the quiet English village of Iping, emerging from a snow-storm like some ghostly apparition. Nameless and faceless, this 'devil without eyes' shuts himself away from curious locals to carry out his mysterious experiments. Before long, the villagers' curiosity has given way to a deadly, unseen terror.
Wells' prophetic tale of a scientist destroyed by his astonishing discovery has captivated imaginations for a 120 years. Thunder Road and Harrogate Theatre invite you to take a 'first look' at The Invisible Man in this gripping new production, exploring Wells' themes of identity, self-esteem, betrayal, and madness.
