Our Venues

From 2012, Harrogate Theatre launched its exciting new Harrogate Theatres collaboration, which found Harrogate Theatre, Harrogate Studio Theatre, and the Royal Hall under the same programming umbrella. In addition in 2014 live events at Harrogate Convention Centre were also added to the portfolio.  The term ‘Harrogate Theatres’ and Harrogate Box Office refer to the programming and running of live events across all of these venues but the Royal Hall and Harrogate Convention Centre remain independently managed.  Below you can find more information about 2 of Harrogate’s most established and well-loved heritage venues, as well as the renowned Harrogate Convention Centre and how we are all working together to share resources in order to further cement Harrogate’s place on the arts and entertainment map.

Built in 1900 Harrogate Theatre is a typical example of a late Victorian proscenium arch venue built over five floors. The building has undergone several refurbishments, the last major one being between 2007-2011.
The Royal Hall is a Grade II* listed Edwardian performance hall and theatre located just on the outskirts of Harrogate Town Centre.
Harrogate Convention Centre (HIC) is a spectacular world class conference venue with an impressive 2000-seater auditorium geared up for some of the best British and international acts.
HIVE is located next door to the theatre above the Leeds Building Society on Oxford Street.
