Job Title: Bar Staff Members

Hours: Various evenings are required, from 6pm Monday to Sunday dependent on shows and approximately 3- 4 hours each time

Salary: £12.71 per hour
Main Duties: The Bar Staff Member will provide friendly and efficient customer service and have good knowledge in the products we sell.
Tasks include:
- Setting up the bars in accordance with the department policies.
- Greet and serve customers the products they need and offer alternatives if required.
- Upsell interval drinks before the show to maximise sales, helping to minimise a busy 20-minute interval.
- Cleaning down the bars after the bars are closed, in accordance with department polices.
- Cashing up and reconciling your own takings at the end of each shift and in accordance with Harrogate Theatre’s policies and practices.
General Duties

Main Duties: The Box Office Assistant will provide knowledgeable, friendly and efficient customer service, seeking to maximise sales and positively promote Harrogate Theatre’s activities.
Tasks include:
- Selling tickets over the phone and in person for events, upselling memberships and promoting Harrogate Theatre’s charitable aims.
- Providing informative and accurate performance and venue information to customers, responding positively to customer enquiries and requests.
- Supporting customers with additional needs to have an enjoyable visit. You will be able to recommend seating appropriate to their needs, advise on parking/transport to the venue and speak confidently about our access performances.

Hours :Various evening work from 6pm for approximately 4-5 hours
Location: Harrogate Theatre, Oxford Street, Harrogate, HG1 1QF. Shifts may require work at Royal Hall, Harrogate Convention Centre or other local offsite spaces.
Salary: £13.63 per hour
Main Duties: The Duty FOH Manager will ensure all our customers have a first class experience, that the highest quality standards are delivered across the customer-facing operation at all times; to assist all areas of the Theatre’s front of house operation and to lead the team of staff working across all areas, during a performance.
Tasks include:
- You will manage performances – being the venue’s representative of theatre management. In collaboration with our Production Team and the visiting company, ensure the smooth running of the shows and theatre operations whilst on show duty
- Be responsible for the safety and comfort of visitors and manage any emergencies, medical or security incidents in the building, reporting and recording these incidents as required and per theatre policy
- Carry out adequate pre-show auditorium checks including emergency exits and evacuation routes
- Ensure appropriate signage regarding show warnings and information is displayed and that all signage is in Harrogate Theatre brand style
- To brief the Ushers prior to each performance regarding safety, evacuation procedure, building activities and any other relevant information
- Manage the provision of induction loops and infra-red receivers and liaise with the captioner, British Sign language Interpreter and Audio Describer as relevant for each Access performance and ensure the needs of customers with disabilities are met as fully as possible
- Respond positively to customer enquiries and requests.
- Supporting customers with additional needs to have an enjoyable visit.
