Harrogate Theatre is looking for a chorus of dancers to take part in our traditional family pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, this Christmas.

Whilst we are unable to offer any payment to pantomime dancers, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a professional performing company and to learn about the commitment and skill required to be a performer. You will be required to take time off school so please check this won’t be a problem before you audition. You may also need to take time off from any extracurricular activities. Being part of the Harrogate’s favourite festive celebration is a wonderful experience and it is lots of fun but does require a serious commitment from you and your family.

Our choreographer, David Lee, will be holding a workshop audition on Saturday 22nd June 1-4pm at Harrogate Theatre. To register, please complete the application form below by Tuesday 18^th June. There are paper copies available at the Harrogate Theatre Box Office.

We warmly welcome young people (of all gender identities) who can answer ‘yes’ to the following –

I will be in school years 8-12 from September 2024.
I am able to attend rehearsals from 28th October – 22nd November. Please note this will include day-time rehearsals during October half term, after-school rehearsals, and some Saturday mornings.
I am able to attend technical and dress rehearsals from Monday 18^th– Tuesday 26th November 2024. This will involve taking some time off school (approx. 2 days)
I am able to perform on various dates from 27th November 2024 to 19th January 2025 (approx. 25 performances). This will involve taking time off school and performing over the Christmas and New Year holidays but not on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
I will take full responsibility for getting myself to and from all rehearsals and performances.
I am able to pick up choreography quickly.
