THE ALLOTMENT PROJECT by Record Breaking Company, Casson & Friends, seamlessly blends theatre, dance and documentary to shine a light on allotments and the communities around them.

Inspired by over 15 hours of interviews with allotment owners & community gardeners aged 8-84, the show combines real-life interviews with compelling movement to celebrate our relationship to the land, the seasons and each other.

Heartwarming, human and humorous, this charming duet performance connects audiences of all ages with the joy of growing plants, food, and relationships across all four seasons.

“Unique and touching. It really portrays the essence of why allotments are so special in words and dance.” Audience Member

“Spectacular movement and great words inspired by actual allotment holders” “Thoughtful, gentle & funny… I loved it!”

“An oral history told through physical theatre. The dancing felt like language”

“The eye contact, the conversation, I am not simply an audience member – but a participant”
