We have a number of BSL and captioned performances. Please see the list of current access shows for BSL here and captions here. There is a hearing loop in all three main auditoria Harrogate Theatre, Royal Hall and Convention Centre. Hearing aids need to be set to receive the signal and headsets can be collected form the Box Office or Duty Manager on the way into each show. Older versions of hearing aids may have a ‘T’ setting and need to be switched to this. Modern hearing aids need to be set by the supplier to receive the loop.

For Audio Described performances we offer a free touch tour before the show. Please mention when booking if you would like to register for one. Spaces are limited. Assistance dogs are welcome at all venues. Please let us know before you book. End of row , easily accessed seats are best. With prior arrangement, our Customer Service Team, can look after your dog during the performance. Please call the box office on 01423 502116 for more advice.

Relaxed Performances are designed to welcome people with a learning disability, Down’s Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Condition or sensory and communication difficulties. For Harrogate Theatre, the best position would be in the Stalls, level access can be from the back of the Theatre. For the Royal Hall, the best position is the Grand Circle. Level access is available from the right-hand door of the Royal Hall which is also used for wheelchair access. For Harrogate Convention centre, the front row of Block H. J.K, L and M are the best, all accessed via the lift from level 5. Call us on 01423 502116 to book.

Comfort seats are slightly larger than normal with a slightly larger gap between them and the next seat for easier access and of course comfort. Comfort seats at Harrogate Theatre are in the Stalls at both ends of Row’s D, J and L.
