You're invited to...
Get Wed

You’re invited to take part in GET WED, Harrogate Theatre’s biggest ever interactive community production, and we need YOU to make it happen!

Following on from the success of previous community productions, Our Gate and 122 Love Stories, GET WED sees 50 something year olds Jess and Daniel getting married. They have so much in common. They’re Eurovision superfans and 80s music buffs, but they’ve only known each other 12 weeks and their families have other ideas!

We’re looking for people interested in taking part, from performing, prop making or music recording to venue decorating, technical theatre and much more. Involvement can range from creating something at home to be used in the design of the show, to assisting technically with the “fit up”. Performing may range from playing a wedding guest, usher or caterer to a speaking role in the production. With a wide variety of ways to take part and varying involvement and commitment, there really is something for everyone! No prior experience is needed and we look forward to meeting you!

  •  Anyone under 17 years old taking part at “in person” sessions (i.e.rather than remotely) needs to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

If you are unable to attend the information event but are interested in taking part and would like more information, please email [email protected] , stating which area of the project (performing, technical, creative design) you are interested in being involved with, and we can take things from there!
