The Harrogate Theatre Pantomime Horse Race will be a fun and hilarious fundraising event where teams dressed in two-person pantomime animal costumes will gallop for glory at Ripon Racecourse, all to support Harrogate Theatre’s 125th anniversary fundraising campaign. We’re thrilled to be bringing this wonderful event to life on Monday 4th August and we can’t wait to see businesses, individuals and theatre supporters get involved.

On Monday 4 August at Ripon Races, history will be made as we crown the first Harrogate Theatre pantomime horse race winner!

Opening this weekend and running until May, our Little Stages Festival sponsored by Your Harrogate showcases an enchanting line-up of theatre performances designed to captivate children of all ages. Whether you’re seeking heart-warming tales, jaw-dropping magic, or extraordinary puppetry and dance, there’s something for everyone!

Harrogate Theatre first opened its doors on 13^th January 1900, with a special benefit gala supporting soldiers returning from the Boer War, followed by a production of the pantomime Dick Whittington. Now, 125 years later, the theatre is delighted to launch its spring season; an exciting lineup of shows to celebrate this extraordinary milestone.
