Exciting new plans to be unveiled at a special event

Here at Harrogate Theatre we’re busy organising a very special ‘Centre Stage’ event, designed to bring together businesses from across our local community.

‘Centre Stage’ will take place in our main auditorium on Friday 11th May at 12 noon.

At the event the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive of Harrogate Theatre will share some news, an announcement, and will outline some new ways businesses can get involved with and support Harrogate Theatre with some specific and exciting plans.

2018 is the start of a new era here at Harrogate Theatre.

Naturally we are delighted to be an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation for 2018-22 and this funding is a significant contribution towards our continued delivery of work for Harrogate and the wider region.

However, as an organisation we are always creatively ambitious - never more so than today - and we don’t want to stop there! With this in mind we’ve been busy making some new and exciting plans which take us beyond our core funding capabilities.

At this event on 11th May we’ll share these plans and we’ll also unveil an exciting project designed to break down barriers and extend our cultural reach, working in partnership with The Harrogate District NHS Trust, children’s services across North Yorkshire, adult social care homes, and local hospices.

Finally, we’ll also present Club Encore (Take Two) – the fresh face of our business supporters club, which we are evolving for 2018 and beyond.

Complimentary food and drinks will follow, and there will be an opportunity to network with likeminded local businesses, plus Harrogate Theatre staff and board members. It’s also a perfect opportunity to see the 118-year-old arts house in all its glory, as well as meet the team and ask those burning questions about refurbishment plans.

We understand that public funding is reducing alongside an ever-increasing landscape of incredible art and artists. As we strive to make Harrogate Theatre a more self-sufficient entity, it’s important that we develop important new partnerships and continue to develop our audiences and investors.

With enough support and financial backing we can continue to champion the arts in the town, support artists - locally and beyond - and to deliver quality new creative experiences and live entertainment to our local community and visitors.

We are are looking to build a range of new core partnerships to help make our plans happen and further establish Harrogate as a cultural centre in the North.
