We're so pleased to announce our rep cast!

This September we’ve got an exciting season of shows from HT Rep – new for 2018 – with three shows over three weeks all from one company.


The White Rose Players performed at Harrogate Theatre in the 1930s and delivered around forty-five plays a year until the mid 1950s. It’s really exciting for us to welcome back this traditional theatre practice.


We are now delighted to share with you the impressive HT Rep cast:



John Hester

Hester has performed and directed all over the country, appeared in film and television. 

Recent credits include The Graduate, The Wind In The Willows, Waiting For Godot, Equus, Maggie’s End, and Ben Elton’s Silly Cow.


Katy Dean

A familiar face in Harrogate panto, Dean’s theatre credits include Body Double (UK tour), Spend Spend Spend (Best Actress Nominee; Union Theatre), and Blood Brothers (UK tour). Dean recently played Nurse Hastings in Emmerdale.


Marcus Hutton

Hutton’s theatre credits include This House (National Theatre and Headlong UK tour), Naomi (The Gate), and The Scarlet Pimpernel (Wolsey Ipswich). Television credits include Midsomer Murders, and Holby City.


Philip Stewart

Stewart’s theatre credits include Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time (West End), Blood Brothers (West End & UK tour), Tommy (UK tour), and Jesus Christ Superstar (UK & European tour).

Phil has been involved in several productions that have come to Harrogate (Round and Round The Garden, Don’t Dress For Dinner) and has appeared in 5 Harrogate pantomimes.


Louis Tamone

Louis is best known for playing Sam Owen in Hollyoaks. He previously trod the boards with Phil Stewart in The West End musical, Blood Brothers.


Polly Lister

Another Harrogate panto regular, Lister has spent much of her career in repertory at Theatre by The Lake in Keswick. Screen credits include Emmerdale, Coronation Street, and Martina Cole’s Lady Killers.


Rebecca Wheatley

Wheatley is best known as receptionist Amy Howard in Casualty. Other television roles include Doctors, Holby City, and Daziel and Pascoe. She has also recorded two top ten singles and the album, Where Time Stands Still.


Alan Drake

Drakes’s theatre credits include The Railway Children (West End), and Kissing Sid James (New York and West End). Recent film includes A Fantastic Fear Of Everything (Universal Pictures) and Slaughterhouse Rulez (Stolen Picture/Sony Pictures).


Polly Smith

Smith is fresh from performing overseas at the Sydney Opera House with The Hunting of the Snark.

She has been a regular cast member for national touring production company, Talking Scarlet.


Ben Roddy - Director

Roddy’s directorial credits include Peter Pan at The Alban Arena St Albans, Up ‘n Under at Gordon Craig Theatre Stevenage, and the national tour of Animal Antics.
